Landing pages are exactly what they sound like: pages you “land in”. When you see an ad, or click on a certain search engine result and you are directed to a special page that elaborates but is not part of a website - then you have reached a landing page.
The landing page form is used in marketing to capture leads and “warm up” potential customers.

Landing page is a general term that may be applied in any field. You can create a real estate landing page, education landing page, HR landing page, non profit landing page, health care landing page etc.

In order to create a successful landing page you need to:
1- decide on your goal -what it is you are trying to achieve (sign up to service/ subscribtion to newsletter/ order product/ download your e-book etc).
2- create a eye catching design based on your goal. For example: Use the “right” colors to represent your idea (green for organic, blue for education, purple for art etc).
3- Lead the user to your goal - use a “call to action” button that encourages the user to press on it. For example: use a descriptive action such as “download this e-book now” instead of using the general term “submit”.
4- embed an online form in the landing page, to collect the data you need.
5- offer the user something in return - make it worth his while. For example offer a discount, gift, extension of the license, etc.
